I believe that the foundation of great healthcare is built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in your health and wellness.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and have been practicing for 13 years. My approach is defined by a supportive, patient-centered clinical style and a strong commitment to patient education. My practice is designed to provide you with the comprehensive knowledge and expert guidance needed to feel fully in control of your mental health care.
I specialize in the evaluation and medication management of adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. By treating you as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms—I partner with you to find the right therapeutic balance. I am here to help demystify psychiatric treatment and offer steady, gentle support as you reclaim your wellness.
Hi! Thanks so much for visiting. I am a board-certified psychiatrist who has been in practice since 2012, and before that I practiced internal medicine. I treat individuals age 10 and up in an adult setting. I went to Duke University for pre-med (BS psychology) and then Emory University School of Medicine. I did my internal medicine residency at Emory also, was on staff at Emory, and was also in private practice before I went back to my psychiatry residency (State University at Stony Brook, Chief Resident, 2012).
I bring the dual training and years of experience treating the breadth and depth of psychiatry. I enjoy helping those who have had treatment-resistant conditions, and have a friendly, kind, and collaborative approach.
I treat anyone who is motivated to get better. I manage the entire spectrum of conditions, and manage tough-to-fix things like OCD and bipolar depression. Because of my personal background, I really get the gender-divergent and neuro-divergent folks, and folks with anxiety. :).
Please note:
-Self-pay rates are $500 for intakes and $250 for follow up appointments.
-Starting 7/29/26, I am based primarily in the SF Bay area, and so appointments might seem at odd hours for those on the east coast. If the times don't align with your needs, make the first appointment and we will make follow-ups together that fits for both of us.
-Given I am primarily providing care for those in a wonderful community center in San Jose, CA, (Camara), I will see folks in this practice part-time.
-I will be in Atlanta to see patients live if needed but know it may not be more than once every 6-8 weeks. On-line is primary.
I have two locations in the Bay Area for live visits. If an in-person session is needed, we will book that after the first on-line appointment.
-If a Florida client needs a controlled substance, one visit to the Atlanta or SF office will be necessary.
Hello, I'm Catherine, a DNP, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in treating adults with ADHD, anxiety and depression. By serving the underserved population, I found my passion for mental health and psychiatry. My focus is helping clients navigate the complexities of mental health and improving overall well-being.
Hi, I’m Wendy Agyapong, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in nursing and a passion for helping adults navigate depression, anxiety, and life’s daily stressors. I completed my master’s in nursing and have years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. My goal is to help you feel balanced, confident, and understood in every step of your care.
I’m Linh Tran, a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 10 years in healthcare and 5 years in advanced practice. I hold both a Master’s and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Columbia University. My work focuses on anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. I’m especially passionate about supporting adolescents, adults, and those navigating the immigrant or bicultural experience.
I’m a board-certified psychiatrist who works with adolescents through older adults, and I bring both medical and therapeutic training into my work. In addition to psychiatry, I’ve completed advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which allows me to look beyond symptoms and explore the deeper emotional patterns shaping your experience.
I specialize in mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, and women’s mental health, including the unique challenges that come with life transitions. Whether you’re navigating longstanding patterns or a more recent shift, I aim to create a space that feels warm, affirming, and grounded in real understanding.
I'm a quadruple-board-certified psychiatrist -- twice in Adult Psychiatry in Canada and the States, and 2x in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Canada and the States. I immigrated from Canada to LA in 2019 on an O-1 visa granted for my research in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a non-invasive brain stimulation method to treat depression. A mouthful, I know.
While I don't consider myself an "alien of extraordinary ability" (or Melania Trump, for that matter), UCLA and the USCIS did -- who knew! After years in academia on both sides of the pond, I've left the ivory tower to be the warm, irreverent (and of course professional) psychiatrist I am, fulfilling my life's mission to do the "art of medicine".
