Navigating relationship challenges, family conflict, and major life transitions can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. I support people who are working through unhealthy patterns, communication struggles, and changes that affect their sense of stability and connection. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe, heard, and validated as you reconnect with your strengths and needs
My clients are the “overthinkers” in the world...with big feelings that are hard to explain. They feel misunderstood, lonely and isolated while striving to please others at the expense of themselves. They’re exhausted, overworked, and over-stressed, feeling like they’re never enough. They have a vision for life, but aren’t sure how to bring it together, especially after a life-changing event. They're also eager for change.
Does this sound like you? If so, I warmly welcome you to my practice.
I graduated with my MSW from USC. I am now an LCSW with a background in individual therapy with adults and older adults for the past 5 years. I have been trained in trauma therapy and have experience working with the VA. I work with depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, grief, and boundaries.
Hi there! I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years experience working in the San Francisco Bay Area. I received my bachelor's degree from University of Hawaii in 2011, and my master's in counseling psychology with a specialization in Somatic Psychology from Jonh F Kennedy University in 2015. Clients should know that I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they can feel safe to be themselves. I specialize in working with women, adolescents, and children, as well as individuals impacted by the child welfare system, including foster care, adoption, and family separation. I understand how trauma, attachment disruptions, and life transitions can shape emotions, relationships, and self-worth.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I aim to help clients feel heard and understood while also offering tools and strategies they can use in their daily lives. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and developmental stage, meeting them where they are and moving at a pace that feels comfortable.
I value building strong, trusting relationships and believe that healing happens through connection, insight, and consistent support. My goal is to help clients strengthen resilience, gain clarity, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.
I believe therapy works best when people feel comfortable being themselves. I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can talk openly about what they’re going through. Outside of therapy I enjoy gardening, creating art, practicing mindfulness, and spending time with my kids and pets, which all help keep me grounded and present.
I am a bicultural, 55-year-old and very proud father of two adolescents. In this growing age of isolation and need for sincere, genuine human connection, it has never been more important to regain our sense of control and serenity. The foundation of our work together is based on restoring this basic human need. I believe the answers lie in the path itself, not just in reaching the destination. Together, we will learn to welcome challenges as opportunities.
I specialize in helping children, families, and adults navigate anxiety, depression, grief, family stress, and men's mental health. I work with clients from infants and toddlers through adults, which means I can support the whole family, not just one person. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, and I won't treat you like a checklist. The work I do is practical, collaborative, and focused on helping you direct your life, not just understand it.
I offer a supportive, affirming space where clients can show up authentically. I guide individuals in rediscovering themselves and taking meaningful steps toward a more purposeful and aligned life.
I am a licensed psychotherapist with 20 years of clinical experience working with anxiety, depression and complicated relationships among many other concerns. I tend to use a more logic-driven, analytical structured approach with my clients where together we try to understand and analyze patterns of behavior that are causing problems and getting in the way of their lives. As a result, neurodivergents and people who work in the hard sciences, technology fields, or are business executives tend to respond very positively to my style and approach. I also work with mood disorders, unconventional or complicated relationships, historical spiritual abuse and military veterans.
Specialty in AI and technology:
I also specialize in the psychology of AI, technology and how it affects society and relationships. For 7 months last year, I spent extensive time within AI-user online communities to learn about their firsthand experiences involving AI-related harm and parasocial relationships. I was featured in the 2026 title How to Talk to AI (And How Not To) by BBC journalist and author Jamie Bartlett, where I discussed parasocial relationships in AI use.
Hobbies:
I love the outdoors, backpacking and going on road trips with my dog. I teach outdoor skills in a wilderness class each winter. I also love California native plants and am a trained naturalist.
I believe everyone needs help from time to time.
I specialize in evening and weekend appointments. Later appointments are available, please request your needs.
I am a friendly goal-oriented therapist who believes strongly in positive self-reinforcement. I have a Master's degree from La Tech University with a background in private practice for over 20 years. My name is Karen and I have been working in mental health for 25 years. It is rewarding to witness my clients take charge of their lives and connect them to what they find most meaningful. Whether it’s listening, teaching new skills, or offering constructive feedback, I work closely with each person so they can find more joy in life.
