In 1986, my journey in the field of human services began, fueled by a lifelong passion for helping others. Majoring in the Human Services concentration at high school laid the groundwork for my unwavering commitment to this mission.
Upon earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Science with a counseling specialty, my formal training commenced in 2002. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience and expertise, working in diverse settings. Anxiety, stress, worry, uncertainty, addictions and fear don't have to define your life. With over 16 years of clinical experience, I help individuals, couples, and families identify the beliefs, thought patterns, and automatic behaviors that keep them feeling stuck.
I am a professional counselor with over 25 years of clinical experience providing warm, client-centered therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, workplace challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical, using evidence-based methods such as CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and trauma-informed care.
I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater emotional wellness, confidence, and balance.
Having over a decade of experience working in multiple settings with varied populations, pales in comparison to my innate drive to support others along their individualized journeys of growth, healing, recovery, increased awareness and/or self understanding.
Many of my clients are professionals who are seeking assistance managing emotions and dealing with change. This can involve: helping professionals navigate feelings of "imposture syndrome", understanding self apart from family, or assisting young professional manage feelings of stress, anxiety, or loneliness. Many clients like to involve their faith in session, while utilizing evidence based practices. I am trained in several trauma informed treatment modalities for PTSD and trauma related disorders.
