As a licensed clinical social worker, I have extensive experience supporting individuals living with chronic illness, as well as the family members and caregivers who care for them. I also work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, caregiver stress, and the emotional impact of difficult life experiences.

As a practicing clinician of ten years, my goal as a therapist is to provide a welcoming and safe space where you can feel comfortable to be and express yourself, to have your voice heard, to process and work through any challenges you are facing, and to know that you are not alone as we work collaboratively together. I strive to create an environment where one can engage in self-reflection, self-exploration, growth, and healing. Before obtaining my Ph.D. in Social Work at New York University, I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College and a B.A. in Psychology at Brooklyn College.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who provides compassionate and effective therapy services to help my clients achieve positive change and well-being. I work with a diverse range of individuals who are struggling to navigate life's challenges, including chronic stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and unhealthy behaviors. My goal is to empower my clients by helping them develop coping strategies and cultivate resilience in the face of these complexities.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, and stress. I obtained my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, which a concentration in clinical social work. I have worked in a variety of settings including, psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, community mental health programs, as well as private practice. I also have a particular passion for working with those in law enforcement and understand firsthand the unique pressures, expectations, and emotional toll that come with the job.
Clients often describe my style as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space that feels real and nonjudgmental, where you can show up as you are. I focus on treating the whole person, not just symptoms, and I use a blend of approaches to support you in a way that feels practical and meaningful.
I take a holistic, non-pathologizing approach to therapy, supporting clients who want to feel better without feeling labeled. In addition to my clinical training, I also have a background as a health coach, which allows me to incorporate wellness and lifestyle strategies into our work. I believe mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I enjoy helping clients strengthen both.

I utilize trauma- informed evidence-based practices that help the therapy move quickly such as EMDR and CBT helping you identify core beliefs and resolve inflexible patterns of thoughts- feelings- and behaviors. I also utilize somatic, mindful, and intuitive approaches.

Hello and Welcome ! I'm Jenna McDonald . I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based New York and working with clients statewide (NY) via Telehealth. I work with teens and adults; specializing in anxiety, stress, life transitions ( ex : work/school stressors), relationship concerns, substance use and trauma. I use different types of therapies to help my clients make progress and start feeling more in control and on their way to a more mentally stable wellness.
I am a psychotherapist originally educated as a social worker. I have been practicing since 1994 and have explored Jungian therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy and have completed Parts I and II of EMDR training.
