I have been working in the mental health / social services field for over 20 years which has afforded me the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life during both good times as well as challenging ones. For the first 15 years I worked in direct service and for the last 6, I've been in various leadership roles helping those under my supervision better the lives of those individuals they work with.

My background is in special education, which is why neurodiversity like Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, and learning differences are areas where I have real depth, not just familiarity. I've spent years understanding how neurodivergent brains work - and how the mental health system often misses them. I also work with clients who've been hurt by their church, their pastor, or their faith community - what many people now call "church hurt." This is a profoundly underserved area of care, and my training at Trinity Seminary means I'm not approaching it from the outside. I understand the language, the culture, and the specific kind of grief that comes with spiritual betrayal. I treasure my global experience and look forward to working with multi-cultural people, including immigrants and refugees.

I have experience working with youth, teens, and young adults in various settings. I have worked with foster care children and families, helping to ease transitions and relieve post-traumatic stress symptoms. I use a variety of techniques to improve presenting symptoms and teach healthy coping skills. Helping people live a better life is my passion!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio, dedicated to helping individuals break old cycles and reclaim their peace. Since 2018, I have provided specialized mental health therapy across diverse settings, including college-based community mental health with BIPOC programming, inpatient addiction care, and private practice. I am an in-network provider with many insurance companies, including Providence Health Plan through the Headway network. My practice focuses heavily on supporting women, students, individuals experiencing various life transitions, and those, who are exhausted from people-pleasing, overcommitting, and ignoring their own boundaries. Over the years, I’ve worked as a therapist, college professor/administrator, coach, and educator, and that range of experience has shaped the way I approach counseling: with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the complexity of each person’s story. My name is Jeannine Taylor. I earned a Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Doctoral Degree from Kent State University. I also am Assistant Professor of Family & Community Medicine at Northeast Ohio College of Medicine. I enjoy helping people balance work and family; navigate the challenges before, during and after divorce; and cope with changes associated with midlife and later life. I also help clients make career decisions and establish educational goals.
