If you are caught in a painful tug-of-war with your mother, you may feel like your only options are total compliance or total cutoff. You might find yourself asking, “Am I being too sensitive?” or “If I could just change how I respond, would things finally feel different?”
I work with adult daughters navigating the lasting effects of maternal emotional neglect, enmeshment, criticism, manipulation, and difficult family dynamics. You may have learned early in life to prioritize other people's emotions, keep the peace, or set aside your own needs—and now find yourself struggling with guilt, people-pleasing, boundaries, self-doubt, or relationships that leave you feeling emotionally exhausted.
You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. With over 12 years of experience in the counseling field, I specialize in helping clients slow down, feel heard, and safely make sense of what they've experienced. My goal is to provide a warm, affirming, and pressure-free space where we can slow down and make sense of what you've experienced and how it continues to affect you.
Whether you're trying to improve a relationship with your mother, create healthier boundaries, or determine what level of contact feels right for you, I won't tell you what decision you should make. Instead, we'll work together to develop the self-trust, emotional awareness, and resilience you need to make choices that are healthy and right for you.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Designation (LPCC-S) in Ohio with nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I am also licensed to practice in Missouri and hold telehealth registration in Florida, allowing me to provide services to clients across multiple states. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Development from Walsh University and have spent my career working with individuals experiencing a wide variety of emotional, relational, and life challenges. In addition to my clinical work, I have experience in clinical leadership and supervision and serve as an adjunct faculty member in a graduate counseling program.
I especially enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, grief and trauma. I also have a particular passion for women's mental health, including helping women navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that can accompany hormonal and reproductive transitions. Areas of special interest include Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), postpartum emotional and mental health concerns, and perimenopause and menopause. I recognize how significantly these seasons can affect mood, anxiety, relationships, sense of self, and overall well-being—and how often women feel that these experiences are misunderstood or minimized.
