Hi! I’m Christina Doss, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) offering flexible daytime, evening, and late-night appointments to make mental health care easier to fit into your life.
I provide medication management + psychotherapy for adults, young adults, adolescents ( 12 + ) throughout Ohio. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD/ADD, depression, depression, mood changes, emotional well-being OCD, C-PTSD, college/academic stress, workplace stress/burnout and concerns related to hormonal changes, including PMDD, perimenopause, menopause, and postpartum depression (PPD). I also support individuals working through family, marriage, and relationship concerns.
Many people come to treatment during periods of change or uncertainty—college and academic challenges, career transitions, relationship or marriage difficulties, divorce, parenting stress, grief, health concerns, or simply adjusting to a new stage of life.
If you’re feeling mentally exhausted or overwhelmed, or struggling with focus, attention, staying on task, organization, motivation, or getting things done, you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. We can work together to identify what’s getting in the way and develop practical tools and treatment strategies personalized to your needs.
As an independent provider, I believe meaningful mental health care starts with feeling heard, seen, and supported. I want you to have a space where you can be yourself, talk openly about what’s happening, and feel actively involved in your treatment.
You are worth it. Schedule an appointment, and together we’ll work toward helping you feel more confident, supported, and equipped to live your life to its fullest potential. You don’t have to do it alone.
I support adults navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, complex trauma and PTSD, substance and alcohol use, grief, major life transitions, career questions, and relationship concerns. I’m an LPCC-S and LICDC, and I see therapy as a way to regain a stronger sense of agency in your life.
As a licensed psychologist, I have experiences working with adults and couples. I specialize in anxiety, depression, family-child relations, and interpersonal relationship difficulties. I am an anti-racist and LGBTQ-Affirming trauma therapist who has worked with veterans, military personnel, and civilians for 20+ years. I am honored to work with clients on their self-defined goals to achieve more peaceful and satisfying lives, especially as related to healing mental injuries from discrimination and abuse.
My areas of expertise include workplace trauma, racial trauma, institutional betrayal, suicide prevention, family scapegoat abuse, workplace mobbing, and self-acceptance in a hostile world.
As a Queer, Xicana of Mexican, Indigenous, Irish, and Czech ancestry who was raised by a gay parent, I know from lived experience, the importance of culturally-responsive care that recognizes the harm of systemic and interpersonal oppression and stigma. I delight in working with people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences including neurodiversity, various religious and spiritual communities, and people living with visible and invisible disabilities.
As a care provider for a person living with long COVID, I understand the challenges and importance of COVID-cautious lifestyles for people who have compromised immune systems or who want to avoid long COVID.
With a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an MSW from Washington University in St. Louis, and a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, my practice is rooted in research, celebration of clients' cultural traditions, and awareness that mistreatment, disadvantage, and cruelty cause people to suffer.
I actively work to identify and eradicate my own biases through anti-racist somatic practice and train other clinicians in decolonizing mental health care, psychological safety, and anti-racist suicide prevention.
I use evidence-based practices of Written Exposure Therapy, Motivational Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.

I moved on to Dublin, Ireland where I worked with adults transitioning from homelessness to finding housing within Dublin City. I returned to Cleveland in 2009, first working with at-risk youth in the community, then moving to working in schools. I have also worked in residential treatment for youth with severe behavioral issues and in an alternative school as an art teacher. I worked with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice for 12 years, and have recently returned to community based work with families experiencing crisis and trauma.
