Reaching out for support can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I believe healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, explore what’s weighing on you, and discover your own strength. I work with teens, adults, women, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the stress that comes with everyday life. As a bilingual counselor fluent in English and Spanish, I also understand how culture, family expectations, and personal experiences can shape our emotional well-being. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, develop practical tools, and work toward the life you want to create—one step at a time.
Life can shift unexpectedly-and when it does, the stress, trauma, or emotional pain can leave you feeling lost,
isolated, or overwhelmed. Whether you're healing from abuse, facing a major transition, navigating
relationship stress, or coping with anxiety or depression, therapy can offer a path toward clarity, peace, and
renewal. You're not alone.
My therapeutic style remains flexible and collaborative, focusing on your individual strengths, needs, and motivation. I consider it a privilege to partner with my clients in this work and to be trusted by them as they share their stories. I strive to create a collaborative space for you to share and examine your own behaviors, feelings, and thoughts; for as Cheryl Richardson has noted, “People start to heal the moment the feel heard.”
Hello, I'm Alexis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Texas, with 4 years of experience in social work, specifically in pediatrics. I have worked in case management and crisis intervention with children and adolescents. I obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Capella University. I have gained valuable expertise working in pediatric and behavioral health hospital settings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I obtained my Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW) in the Spring of 2022. I earned my Clinical Social Work License in the winter of 2025 and consider myself to be a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have been practicing child-centered play therapy for one year under supervision and have seen the transformative power of play. In my free time, I commit my time to the local community by volunteering with initiatives such as Cowtown Clean-up, Tarrant Area Food Bank, and Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas. I work with adults, couples, and teens, helping people untangle challenges that often feel overwhelming, interconnected, or hard to name. I believe most struggles don’t exist in isolation—they affect our relationships, our emotions, and how we move through the world. My role is to truly get to know you, understand your story, and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.
My background is both clinical and academic. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with graduate degrees in Philosophy and Sociology, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications. I’m also a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology. This combination allows me to look at your concerns through emotional, relational, and systemic lenses—not just symptom-focused ones.
I specialize in trauma work, relationship therapy, and working with preteens and teens—who are often misunderstood but incredibly important to support early. I’ve trained in EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, Art Therapy, and Conflict & Dispute Resolution. Above all, I value creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely supported.
