Though Kelsey is a psychiatric nurse practitioner, her initial mental health training was as a psychologist. She completed her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Texas in 2009 with specialties in neuropsychology, pediatrics and eating disorders. She has extensive experience working at all levels of care across the lifespan and developing treatment programs. After a decade of experience as a psychologist, Kelsey was inspired to go back to school during the COVID-19 pandemic seeing the need for integrated medical and psychiatric care. You may be dealing with anxiety, depression, changes in mood, difficulty focusing, poor sleep, or simply feeling unlike yourself lately. Maybe you’ve tried treatment before and still have questions, or you’re considering psychiatric care for the first time and aren’t sure where to begin. At Harborline Psychiatry, we work with adults who want to better understand what they’re experiencing and take an active role in their care. We start by slowing things down, looking at the whole picture, and building a treatment plan that makes sense for you.
I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients throughout Florida. My approach is thoughtful and collaborative: we’ll consider your symptoms, history, concerns, and goals before deciding what treatment should look like. When medication is appropriate, I’ll explain the options and reasoning so we can make those decisions together.
Reaching out for psychiatric care can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve felt unheard or uncertain about treatment in the past. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, collaborative approach to your mental health, I’d be glad to help you find a steadier way forward.
