For over 28 years, I've had the privilege of working as a clinical psychologist in California, walking alongside adults from all walks of life as they navigate life's toughest moments. If you are feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed or struggling with painful transition or loss, it can be profoundly hard to see a way forward. My practice is dedicated to helping people like you find clarity, uncover path forward, and create a life that feels true to who you are, all through flexible teletherapy sessions across California.
I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation with a real person. I’m warm and compassionate, but I’m also honest and direct—I won’t judge you, but I won’t simply tell you what you want to hear, either. I’ll laugh with you, ask the questions that may be uncomfortable, and challenge you when I believe it could help. I care about my clients and genuinely love this work. You can expect me to be present, engaged, ethical, and respectful of your boundaries while creating a space where you can be fully yourself.
I specialize in assisting children, individuals, couples, and families dealing with everyday stress, burnout, mood and anxiety issues, relationship challenges, complex trauma, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. My primary goal is to promote self-understanding and overall well-being of my clients. To achieve this, I am dedicated to aiding clients in developing effective coping strategies, enhancing emotional intelligence, and fostering healthier relationships with themselves and others.
A lot of young men grow up getting the message that they're supposed to have it handled — keep it together, don't make it a big deal, figure it out on your own. So when anxiety, anger, low motivation, or just feeling lost starts piling up, reaching out for help can feel like the last thing they'd want to do. If that's you, or if you're a parent watching your son struggle and shut down, I get it — and I can help.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I work primarily with teenage boys and young men. I've spent years working with guys in some of the hardest settings there are — residential treatment, high-acuity programs, and intensive work helping young men take an honest look at their choices, their patterns, and who they want to become. That experience taught me how to actually connect with someone who doesn't necessarily want to be in therapy, and how to make this feel less like a lecture and more like a real conversation.
My style is warm but direct, and I don't think therapy has to be heavy or stiff to work. I'll meet you exactly where you are — no judgment, no pressure to have it figured out — and we'll get into the real stuff at a pace that feels right. I also work with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, and figuring out who they are, bringing that same grounded, real presence to the work.
I am a dedicated therapist, with a client-driven approach to mental health therapy to serve children and adolescents, aiming to prevent suicide by building strengths and resilience. Solution-focused methodology empowers young individuals to envision a brighter future, emphasizing their inherent strengths and actionable steps. I equip children and adolescents with practical tools to reframe negative thought patterns and cultivate healthier behaviors, fostering lasting emotional resilience.
I'm interested in helping you become your best, authentic self - whatever that looks like! Therapy is about relationships -- the relationship between therapist and client as well as the relationship the client has with themselves and others. My goal as a therapist is for you to feel seen, heard, and understood and to take that capacity and generalize it throughout your lived experience. As a therapist, I examine your memories, perceptions, and presence to paint a vibrant picture of who you are.
Welcome, I know reaching out for support can feel vulnerable.
My name is Karen Duffy and I am a board certified psychotherapist in Sonoma County. I offer in person and online therapy for residents of California.
I hold a BS in Psychology from San Francisco State university and an MS degree in counseling from Sonoma State university.
In my 15 years of professional counseling experience I have worked in a wide array of settings, in elementary schools all the way to alternative high school. I have experience with individuals, couples and families in non profit counseling agencies. I have worked for 15 years with the homeless population in a variety of programs with folks who are unhoused, in shelters or living in communal housing where I have conducted groups, psychoeducational classes and crisis management. The tenacity and survival instinct of the human spirit is truly humbling for me!
Welcome! It is an honor and a privilege for me to have the opportunity to meet each one of you and listen to your story! I believe EVERYONE can benefit from some type of therapy. We all have a need to process and find our own understanding to life in general. Based on research: the two main variables that allow therapy to be effective are: the relationship with the therapist & a safe environment. It is always my goal to meet these variable to the best of my ability. Hope to hear from you soon!
I specialize in helping people navigate the phase after medical treatment or recovery ends but life still doesn't feel right. As a licensed psychotherapist, brain tumor survivor, and breast cancer survivor, I understand the challenges that can remain long after others expect you to be "back to normal." Together, we'll address the emotional, cognitive, and nervous system impacts of illness, injury, and major life transitions. My approach combines evidence-based therapy, mindfulness, and practical tools to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and connected to yourself. Healing isn't about returning to who you were—it's about creating a life that feels whole again.
Are you feeling depressed or anxious about your current life situation? Do you wonder if you can build a meaningful life, a life worth living? Are you grieving the loss of someone you love, or the loss of something you hoped to achieve? Are you in the middle of a life transition such as graduation, retirement, becoming a parent, or changing professions? I help people in these situations get in touch with what they really want so they can move forward with confidence.
Hi!
My name is Hitomi Fujikura, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's Degree in Social Work, working with clients in California via telehealth. I work with adults of all ages and specialize in working with people looking for support with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and ADHD through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
I work with adults on the individual and/or family level(s) and have found that fostering strong support, skill development, and practices of acceptance and self-compassion are effective regardless of background. My relationship with clients is collaborative and aims to address stress and anxiety, depression and feelings of hopelessness, and struggles in relationships, as well as trauma and OCD symptoms. I also enjoy working with clients who’d like to learn to work with their neurodivergent ADHD brains instead of against them. It’s important to me to work with people from diverse backgrounds, but I’m especially passionate about being a space for those from minority populations like people of color and queer people who may face adversity as a result of their identity.
Being a child of immigrants and a queer biracial Asian woman, I’ve been in a place where I needed support and a person to listen but didn’t think anyone would understand me or the complexities of my experiences. I pursued a career in the healing field because I hope to be someone who provides a sense of safety for people and helps instill hope when it feels difficult to access. I enjoy the process of seeing people learn, grow, and care for themselves in a greater capacity and I feel proud to be alongside them on their journey.
