Hi there! I am dual licensed in Florida as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). I received my Masters from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and have been practicing for 13 years. I tend to work with older adolescents and adults in living more authentic lives and being the best version of themselves. I am compassionate, but also honest and direct. Having been on the other side of therapy, I understand the vulnerability and courage it takes to engage honestly and authentically in therapy to find the best version of yourself and create a better future. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a nursing and counseling career spanning over 25 years. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology from Ohio State University in 2000, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Otterbein University in 2006, a Master of Science in Nursing from Otterbein University in 2013 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (Psychiatric-Mental Health Lifespan) at Rush University in 2016. I've taught as a clinical instructor and preceptor at both undergraduate and graduate levels. I have experience working in inpatient, outpatient and residential settings with patients ranging from adolescents to octogenarians. Much of my career has been specializing in substance use disorders, although I am happy to treat a broad range of mental health, as well as dual diagnosis. I am passionate about mental wellness and I enjoy helping people be the best version of themselves!

I graduated with my Masters of Science degree with a major in Clinical Psychology from Barry University. My practical training began at Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami. I have also gained invaluable crisis care and intervention experience working with adults and adolescents at a Crisis Services Unit. My work at a private psychosocial rehabilitation organization allowed me to gain additional proficiency working with adolescents and adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
