Long lasting change comes from developing a deeper understanding of ourselves. It can be incredibly challenging to focus on our own emotional life and internal experience. I provide a warm, supportive space to explore and process whatever is on your mind. I have extensive experience engaging in psychotherapy with adults facing a wide range of life experiences, from managing depression, to adapting to major life changes, to facing grief after loss of a loved one.
My business works with individuals to address feelings of depression, low self-esteem, self-worth and more. I assist in providing clarity in your thought processes, offer guidance and support towards your self-directed goals.
My clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed and isolated in their experiences, but after working together, they often feel more empowered and less alone. My Caribbean heritage has shaped my worldview and instilled in me a strong sense of compassion. By drawing on the wisdom of our ancestors and the strength of our communities, we can navigate life's challenges with resilience and hope. I specialize in supporting clients who feel as if they are barely holding it together.
I'm a trauma-informed therapist in New York and Florida who works specifically with moms of explosive boys. My training is rooted in understanding the nervous system — which means I work beneath the behavior, not just at the surface of it. I'm not going to hand you a sticker chart or tell you to pick your battles. I understand what you're actually dealing with — and I take it seriously.

I am a LCSW in practice over 15 years. I believe therapy should feel like a supportive, collaborative space. I work with individuals who want to better understand themselves, build confidence, and develop tools to navigate life's challenges. My goal is to help you feel empowered, heard and supported as you move towards meaningful change.
My aim is to create a warm, judgement free, safe space for you to understand yourself better. I see therapy as a journey between two people. At times the journey can feel daunting, overwhelming, and challenging, and I am here to help make the burden a little easier to bear. I work with individuals of all backgrounds and of various ages, coping with trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal and relationship struggles, work stress, stage of life transitions, and more. I have been on my own therapy journey too, so I understand what it is like to be on the "other side" of the room. I aim to use my own experience in therapy to bring empathy and compassion to your therapy journey.

Hello! My name is Christina and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. What inspired me to become a psychotherapist? Witnessing the challenges people face in life and being captivated by superheroes as a child. Helping others is my passion—it feels like I'm living my childhood dreams. My experience in state psychiatric centers, working with individuals dealing with severe and persistent mental health issues, solidified my desire to assist those with social and emotional needs. While working as a school counselor was rewarding, I felt compelled to offer more comprehensive services beyond psycho-educational workshops. Pursuing clinical therapy was a natural progression for me. I earned my mental health counseling degree at LIU Post and furthered my expertise with certifications and training in CBT, internal family systems, ACT, and logotherapy. These skills enable me to assist clients with reparenting, anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress management, co-parenting, couples counseling, family therapy, and emotional regulation. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I bring an interactive and down-to-earth approach to therapy. My goal is to equip you with a practical skill set that promotes growth and fulfillment. I look forward to meeting you and helping you live the life you envision!
