Hello, I’m DeAnn Thompson, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in anxiety, depression, work-related stress, and burnout.
I work with busy adults who may be keeping up with work and everyday responsibilities while privately feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or simply not like themselves.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized, combining thoughtful psychiatric care and medication management to help you feel better, regain balance, and improve your overall well-being.
Hi I'm Eitan:) I am a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly a decade of experience and am currently accepting new clients for teletherapy throughout New York State, as well as in person sessions in New York City. I offer flexible daytime and evening availability.
I work with adults across the lifespan and specialize in social anxiety, relationship concerns, attachment dynamics, and couples therapy.
Hello! My name is Kelly and I look forward to working with you!
I earned a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the SUNY Albany School of Social Welfare, with clinical training that provides the foundation for psychotherapy practice. Throughout my over 20 years of clinical practice, I have been afforded the opportunity to work in a variety of environments with diverse populations.
I have been a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2012 and have worked in various settings such as outpatient clinic, inpatient hospital, emergency room and private practice.
John D. Melendez is a bilingual, English and Spanish speaking, Mental Health and Substance Use Counselor experienced in providing assessment and treatment to adolescents, adults, and families from diverse ethno-cultural and racial backgrounds in order to determine appropriate services and referrals needed, implementing short-term and long-term goals in collaboration with clients.
As a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) with 17 years of hands-on experience, I've had the privilege of guiding countless individuals through life's toughest moments, helping them rediscover their inner strength and joy. I graduated from Adelphi University in 2007, where I honed my skills in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, but what truly sets me apart is my deep commitment to seeing each client as a unique person with their own story, dreams, and potential. My practice is built on a foundation of empathy, integrity, and genuine care — I don't just listen; I truly hear you, validating your experiences without judgment. Over the years, I've supported people from all walks of life, whether they're navigating the fog of anxiety, the weight of grief, or the complexities of relationships, always tailoring my approach to what resonates most with you. Clients often tell me they feel an immediate sense of relief knowing they're in a space where vulnerability is met with compassion and expertise. I'm passionate about holistic well-being, incorporating mind-body connections and practical strategies that extend beyond the session room into your daily life. What drives me? Witnessing those transformative "aha" moments when someone realizes they have the power to shape their future. If you're ready to invest in yourself and explore how therapy can unlock a more empowered, fulfilling path, I invite you to reach out — let's start this journey together and see how far you can go.
I've spent nearly 20 years in community mental health - not behind a desk, but in group homes, care management, and direct support with people navigating some of the hardest chapters of their lives. That history shapes how I work:
I don't come in with a fixed formula. I come in with real attention. I hold two Master's degrees and I'm trained in CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In practice, what that means is I use whatever genuinely helps you move forward. I work with adults and seniors across New York State via telehealth - including first responders, people managing chronic illness, women navigating major life transitions, and anyone carrying trauma they haven't fully named yet. I accept Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon Behavioral Health.
Vulnerability to hurt, disappointment, sadness, and grief are a normal part of the human experience. In trying to make sense of these struggles, we often turn them inward, forming painful beliefs about ourselves and the world that can shape our relationships and sense of self.
I believe that a genuine, authentic therapist-client relationship has the power to heal. I'm not looking to "fix" my clients, but instead become a fellow traveler in their therapeutic process. We will work collaboratively to identify and remove both conscious and unconscious barriers that may be keeping you stuck, moving you toward a life that is meaningful, authentic, and purposeful. This may involve offering new ideas and techniques, or identifying and shifting unhelpful patterns, transforming them into more adaptive behaviors. In this safe, judgment-free space, you can reconnect to who you truly are.
I completed my graduate studies at New York University's Silver School of Social Work and have worked in both private practice where I served adult individuals and couples, and community-based settings, focused on protecting families and strengthening secure attachments. These experiences have shaped my deep respect for the ways people adapt to early relational environments—and how those adaptations can later create both resilience and pain.
I work with individuals facing depression, anxiety, OCD, relational challenges, attachment wounds, family of origin issues, patterns rooted in early family dynamics and the intergenerational effects of trauma on parenting and relationships, including narcissistic abuse.
I hold a special interest in those impacted by the issues faced by adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families.
