I have been in private practice as a psychologist for the past 30+ years and I can honestly say that I remain passionate about and dedicated to the work that I do as a therapist. I have a BA in Psychology and Human Biology from Stanford University and a Masters in Public Health from Yale University. My doctorate in Clinical Psychology is from The Graduate Center, C.U.N.Y and I completed training as a psychoanalyst at the NYU Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege (LMHC-D), Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I hold an MA degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University and an EdM degree in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University. I have experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults in individual sessions, couple sessions, family sessions, and group therapy.
I'm a licensed mental health counselor with experience providing care in both clinic and primary care medical settings since 2015. My clients have presented a wide range of concerns including: depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, substance abuse, poverty, and life after incarceration.
Before graduate school I was a community organizer addressing issues of social, ecological, and economic concern; my undergraduate degrees are in Community Health and Peace and Justice Studies.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in New York with over fifteen years of experience working as a therapist and a coach. I support clients navigating depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, OCD, parenting problems, career challenges, and life transitions.
I've worked with adolescents, couples, and families and I value creating a space where clients feel safe, understood and supported. I'm direct, yet compassionate, and I am not afraid to help you explore the "elephant in the room" so we can get to the root of what's keeping you stuck.
My goal is to help clients uncover their true potential and lead lives worth celebrating. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology at Elon University and my master's degree in clinical social work at New York University. Additional clinical and training experiences include Mount Sinai Medical Center, Metro Behavioral Health Eating Disorder Centers, and Ackerman Institute for the Family.
My approach is collaborative, creative, and grounded in body awareness and compassion. I’m a licensed, board‐certified Art Therapist with training in somatic and sex therapy. My work is culturally responsive and affirming, especially of LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC identities. I’m passionate about helping people heal from shame, body disconnection, and identity‐related challenges, and about supporting couples navigating differences in desire and intimacy. My background in art therapy shapes sessions that often weave creativity, expression, and the body as pathways toward healing. I hope that therapy can offer you a deeper sense of belonging.
