I was born and raised in Montana and have a genuine passion for nature and the outdoors. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at Montana State University in 2001. I then pursued my Masters of Social Work degree and graduated in 2008 from the University of Montana. This graduate program had a focus on providing a social justice and integrated practitioner perspective. I have an eclectic style that can be tailored to each unique individual. My primary therapeutic methods include Mindfulness Based, Holistic, Exposure, Narrative, Cognitive and Behavioral, Strengths Based & Solution Focused Therapies. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment that often helps people feel comfortable. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years in the counseling field, including 8 years of clinical experience working with adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, and difficult life transitions. I have a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and am trained in EMDR and trauma-focused therapy. I especially enjoy working with women and mothers as they navigate relationships, family life, identity, and the emotional demands of motherhood. Having experienced infertility and the journey to parenthood myself, I have a personal understanding of the grief, uncertainty, and complicated emotions that can accompany that experience. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, creating a space where you can feel safe, understood, and supported. As a Christian, I’m also able to incorporate a Christian counseling lens into therapy if faith is important to you, while respecting each client’s individual beliefs, values, and preferences.
